Highlights of the New Visit Albany Brand
- The logo, featuring the iconic Flint River and colors inspired by Radium Springs, serves as a visual representation of Albany’s diverse offerings. Its dynamic design embodies the spirit of movement and progress, reflecting the city’s ongoing evolution. Radium Springs is one of Georgia’s Seven Natural Wonders. It pumps 70,000 gallons per minute of clear, 68-degree water from an underground cave. Walk through a courtyard where the former Radium Springs Casino once stood, enjoy foliage-draped hillocks, crystal clear waters and flora both indigenous and exotic.
- The tagline “Feel the Movement” embodies Albany’s essence, drawing inspiration from its flowing river, the energy of marathons, and the transformative power of music. Through rebranding research, Albany’s crucial role in the Civil Rights Movement was rediscovered, particularly through the impactful contributions of the Freedom Singers, originating from Albany. Despite this historical significance, it had often been overlooked in the city’s branding. The decision to incorporate this legacy into the new brand reflects a commitment to honoring Albany’s history and its contributions to shaping broader social movements.
- The orange and green colors are fun, bright, and hip colors bring a fresh and vibrant look to the brand.
- The destination’s rebranding initiative was a collaborative effort that included the team listed above as well as the Visit Albany Board, community focus groups, etc.
- As soon as the brand is unveiled, the new logo will immediately be seen everywhere. The new website and the new visitors guide will be released as well as social media branding. From that day forward, brand elements – logos and new materials with logos – will be gradually updated on all other materials during the next few months.
