The 50th anniversary celebration of Oktoberfest combines with the event’s 51st happening, September 9-November 7, 2021, in Helen Chamber of Commerce’s Festhalle
HELEN, GEORGIA—AUGUST 2021—With a history dating back to 1969, the Bavarian town of Alpine Helen-White County, about an hour and a half north of Atlanta, is idyllic for celebrating Oktoberfest–by far Helen Chamber of Commerce’s biggest party of the year.
The City of Helen’s restaurants, shops and attractions celebrated Oktoberfest in 2020; however, the spacious Helen Chamber Festhalle was a “Shuttered Venue” due to State of Georgia Covid-19 restrictions. The official 50th anniversary celebration of Oktoberfest was postponed to 2021.
This year, the Helen Chamber of Commerce is happy to again open the doors of the Festhalle (1074 Edelweiss Strasse, Helen, Georgia 30545) to welcome visitors for nine weeks of German bands during a combined 50th and 51st Oktoberfest celebration that promises memories to last a lifetime.
It’s double the fun so get ready to tap your toes to German music, dance and enjoy authentic German food and drinks. Don’t miss five decades of Oktoberfesting in Alpine Helen, Georgia. Practice your Polka and get ready for the Chicken Dance. . .Oktoberfest is always a blast.
